Race Policies

Inclusivity Statement

We strive to create an event where everyone feels like they belong.

Cup-less Race

This is a cup-less race. Cups will not be provided at Aid Stations or the Start/Finish line. Please bring your own reusable cup and/or bottle/hydration pack. We will have a small number of reusable running cups available for purchase at check-in.

Littering

Participants will be disqualified if found littering.

Bandits

Running the Mount Laguna Trail Marathon on race day without being registered, and without a visible bib, is a liability for the event and puts our permits in jeopardy. This is true even if you do not accept aid from the aid stations. We welcome anyone who wants to run and does not have a bib to join us in marking the course the day before the race.

Non-Binary Registration

People whose gender is not male or female; including but not limited to: genderqueer, agender, bigender. We want to acknowledge, respect, and provide opportunities in the registration process to express their desired pronouns. Please email us at mountlagunamarathon@gmail.com after registration.

Transgender Registration

We will accept each entrant’s declared gender at face value, and no additional supporting evidence is required. Athletes may register as the gender they identify with.

Equal Podium Spots and Awards

We offer equal podium spots and awards between men, women and non-binary runners in each division.

Pregnancy Deferral

Women who have been selected for entry into the race and who are or become pregnant prior to race day may defer their race entry for up to two years after the initial race deferral.

Non-Refundable/Non-Transferable/No Rollovers

Your race entry is not refundable, not transferable and you may not roll it over to another year.
