The Mount Laguna Trail Marathon welcomes you to its fifth official running on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 8am. The course is a single loop of technical single-track trail covering mostly rolling terrain. Total elevation gain for the run is 3,358 feet with the first half running high on the Pacific Crest Trail overlooking the Anza Borrego Desert. The second half of the run will climb and descend Champagne Pass and tour the meadows surrounding Big Laguna Lake.
The Mount Laguna Trail Marathon is a fundraiser to raise money and awareness of the organizations that make trail running possible in Southern California. Proceeds from this event will be returned to the community to support trail maintenance and other volunteer services we rely on to safely utilize the trails in the Mount Laguna Recreational Area.
We hope for this event to become one of Southern California's favorite trail races offering runners a well organized event, with the best crew of experienced volunteers to cheer and assist participants throughout the day. All runners and volunteers are also encouraged to hang out after the run to enjoy a delicious, hot, made-to-order post race meal, and to meet and mingle with members of the local trail running community.
Please check back frequently for updates and more details on the Mount Laguna Trail Marathon. Thank you and we looking forward to seeing you on the trails!
